The Rating category is a general critics rating (1 to 5 stars) and is
not based on the quality or quantity of sword fighting.
The Swash (Swashbuckling Rating) category is based on the quality of the sword fighting scenes in the film.
The Fights category shows the number of sword fight scenes in the film. Due to the enormous number
of films which fall under this category this database is a major work
in progress which will take some time to complete. If you know of any
films, dates, actors, directors, fight directors, and producers, which
are not listed below or the number of fight scenes in a film listed
below please e-mail the information to us at 2@MSFencing.org so that we can update this
database. If you would like to
contribute to our effort to rate these films based on the QUALITY of
their fight scenes feel free to send us an e-mail with a rating from
1 to 5 on any of them that you have viewed. Each week we will update
